Make your Christmas magical. A friendly welcome awaits you at Bridge House as you step into our historic hotel decorated with garlands and baubles, and warm yourselves by the crackling log fire. Unwind, relax and enjoy our traditional hospitality and the magic of Christmas. Our chef Geraldine Gay and her team will be creating truly sumptuous festive fayre taking inspiration from Yuletide recipes and locally produced ingredients.
Arrive anytime from 2pm, and once settle in your room, start the festivities with a traditional Dorset cream tea with freshly baked scones and homemade jam. There’s a crib service five minutes walk away in St Mary’s Church, or a short drive takes you to the picturesque village of Netherbury, where the church holds a children’s nativity service.
At 6.30pm join us in the candle-lit medieval bar and lounge for an early evening glass of Prosecco Royale and canapés, whilst enjoying the beautiful voices of the local carol singers. This will be followed by a memorable five-course candle-lit dinner in the Georgian panelled dining room. For those who wish to attend midnight mass, Beaminster’s Grade 1 listed, 15th Century church is a short stroll away.
Christmas Day begins with a splendid Dorset breakfast, choose from eggs Benedict, smoked salmon or bacon and local scrambled eggs, Dorset Down mushrooms all accompanied by freshly baked Bridge House bread, jams and marmalades.
From midday onwards join us for a glass of Champagne in the 13th century medieval bar and lounge or around the fire on the outside terrace. This will be followed by an incredible seven-course Christmas feast. The kitchen team pull out all the stops with the very finest Dorset produce -free range turkeys, fish from Lyme Bay & local home grown vegetables.
Finish with coffee and Chef’s Christmas cake in the lounge, where you can play games, read or enjoy a light snooze. The Queen’s speech is at 3pm. Around 7.30–8.pm mulled wine is served with a with a delicious cold buffet.

Prices are per person, per night based on two people sharing a room and include meals and drinks as detailed in the package. We regret there will be no reduction for meals or drinks not taken.
There is a minimum 3 night stay.
A non-refundable deposit of £300 per room is payable at time of booking. Please note that the balance must be received in full by 30 November. We strongly advise guests are covered by adequate holiday insurance in the event of cancellation.
Tips for service are not included, and all gratitudes are received by staff.
